Letters from the Margin

When the Mirror Starts Talking Back

Ashish Sharma

Hello Fellas,

It happened between a Zoom call and a cup of cold chai.

The screen was flickering with a grid of familiar faces.
Everyone was talking.
Nobody was listening.

I realized I was performing in the "Reel" world—polished, curated, and very, very tired.
The “Real" world was waiting in the silence afterward.

I got myself into writing because I couldn't stop looking at the gap between the two.
I’m not an expert delivering wisdom from a podium.
I’m just another person in the middle of it.
Still figuring it out.

These pages aren't friends.

People ask why the books feel heavy.
My bheja was officially fried trying to make them "nice".
So, I stopped.

These aren't one-time reads for a Sunday afternoon.
They are designed to be uncomfortable.

It’s costly to look at the innersole.
But it’s more expensive to look away.

The Search (Khoj)

To truly begin the search for yourself, look past the screen.

The goal isn't to be "sorted".
The goal is to be recognized.

The Invitation

If you feel the friction, the books are here.
I ship them directly from my desk to yours—signed, unorganized, and true.
Usually sent within weekdays hours across India.

I ask: Where did I leave?"
